Alabama Shakes Confirm Summer North American Shows For First Tour In Eight Years

Alabama Shakes have announced their first tour in eight years.
The North American headline trek will kick off on July 16 in Chicago and concludes on September 27 in Irving, Texas. Notable stops include Colorado's Red Rocks Amphitheatre on July 20, the Greek Theatre in Berkeley on August 14, and Forest Hills Stadium in New York on September 17.
The run also features several festival dates, including Minnesota Yacht Club and Louisville's Bourbon and Beyond. Vocalist-guitarist Brittany Howard commented:
"Last year, Heath, Zac, and I started chatting about how much fun it would be to make music together and tour again as Alabama Shakes. This band and these songs have been such a source of joy for all of us. It is crazy that it has been 10 years since we released 'Sound & Color' and eight years since we played a show. But, we didn’t want this to entirely be a look back. We wanted it to be as much about the future as the past. So we have a bunch of new music that will be released soon. We just can’t wait to experience that ‘feeling’ when we start playing those first few notes of Don’t Wanna Fight or Gimme All Your Love."
Bahamas, Shannon & The Clams, El Michels Affair, The Budos Band, Sam Evian, Lee Fields, Greyhounds, Y La Bamba, Caleb Elliott, and Alanna Royale will open select dates on the tour. Check out the poster below to see who's supporting at each show.
Tickets go on general sale at 10am local time on Friday (February 14), and $1 from each ticket sold will go to PLUS1 to support equity, access, and dignity for all.
The blues-rock band released their latest studio album, 'Sound & Color', in 2015, and put out a 10th anniversary deluxe edition of their debut LP, 'Boys & Girls', in 2022.
Howard released her second solo album, 'What Now', in 2024. The record received a 2025 Grammy Award nomination in the Best Alternative Music Album category.
