Alabama Shakes have announced their first UK show in a decade.
The American blues-rock trio will headline London's Alexandra Palace on July 3, almost a decade since their previous live appearance in London as part of the BST Hyde Park series alongside Mumford and Sons, Wolf Alice and Kurt Vile in 2016. Tickets go on general sale at 9am on Friday (November 21).
In August, the band returned with Another Life, their first new song in 10 years and their debut release for their new label home at Island Records. Recorded at Nashville's Sound Emporium Studios and produced by long-time collaborator Shawn Everett, the song is the group's their first original release since their 2015 album 'Sound & Color'. More new material is set to arrive in 2026.
Since their last LP, they've put out a 10th anniversary edition of their 2012 debut album 'Boys & Girls' and vocalist-guitarist Brittany Howard has dropped two solo albums, 2019's 'Jaime' and 2024's Grammy-nominated 'What Now'. She has also contributed music to the soundtracks of the Netflix animated film Thelma The Unicorn and Ethan Coen's Honey Don’t!.
In September, Alabama Shakes completed their first North American tour in eight years. Next year, they also have appearances lined up at High Water Festival in South Carolina, Gent Jazz in Belgium, Lucca Summer Festival in Italy, and NOS Alive in Lisbon, Portugal.
