Depeche Mode have announced a release date for their concert film.
Having premiered at New York City's Tribeca Festival back in the spring, Depeche Mode: M is set to screen in more than 2,500 cinemas across 60 countries during a limited cinematic release beginning on October 28.
Directed by Fernando Frías and shot in Mexico City, the film captures the legendary synth-pop group's three sold-out performances in September 2023 at the Foro Sol Stadium on The Memento Mori Tour, named after their latest studio album, released that March. Frontman Dave Gahan explained:
"At its core, our new film ‘M’ is about the deep connection between music, culture, and people—and Fernando Frías, who directed and conceived the film, did a beautiful job telling that story that through the lens of Mexican culture and our shows in Mexico City."
