Editors lead vocalist Tom Smith has announced his debut solo album.
'There Is Nothing In The Dark Which Isn't There In The Light' will arrive on December 5 via Play It Again Sam.
The singer-songwriter first teased the Iain Archer-produced record with the June single Lights Of New York City, and has today shared a new track, Life Is For Living, another stirring acoustic guitar-led ballad. Smith said:
"Life is for living, any way you want, life is for living, live it ‘till it’s gone…” Iain [Archer] and I stumbled across this line together, it felt like an empowering thing to say, and it spoke to the dreamlike hopeful nature of the song."
Smith will embark on a tour of the UK and Ireland between September 3 and October 5, performing at theatres, town halls and churches. Tickets are on sale now.
Editors, meanwhile, released their most recent studio album, 'EBM', in 2022.
