Wilco's Jeff Tweedy Teases 'Twilight Override' With New Single Feel Free

Jeff Tweedy has shared another track from his upcoming triple album.
Led by acoustic guitar, Feel Free is a meandering and introspective reflection on personal freedom that runs for just over seven minutes. Head below to view the Lance Bangs-directed video, which captures an intimate performance of the track. Tweedy said:
"The freedom I’m talking about in this song comes in both small doses and large doses. It arrives at me, at the most free I feel in my life. Which is making a record with my friends and singing a song that I feel like is a part of the past, present and future."
It'll appear on the 30-song 'Twilight Override', due out on September 26 via dBpm Records. The Wilco frontman introduced the project last month with four tracks; Enough, One Tiny Flower, Out In The Dark, and Stray Cats in Spain.
In a unique twist, Tweedy is asking fans to contribute their own verses to the new song. More information is available in his newsletter, Starship Casual.
The renowned singer-songwriter and his band will support the record with a previously scheduled North American tour in the fall, featuring support from Sima Cunningham, Macie Stewart, and Liam Kazar on select dates.
A European leg will take place early next year, and includes two shows at London's Islington Assembly Hall on February 20 and 21. Tickets are on sale now.
He's currently touring North America with Wilco. They put out their 'Hot Sun Cool Shroud' EP in 2024, while their most recent studio album is 2023's 'Cousin'.
