Tony Molina has announced a new album.
The Bay Area musician will release 'On This Day' via Slumberland/Olde Fade/Speakeasy Studios SF on November 14.
Co-produced with his wife, Alicia Vanden Heuvel from the Aislers Set, the 21-track album was recorded straight to analogue tape in their San Francisco home studio, with long-time collaborator Jack Shirley helping out at Atomic Garden. It also features contributions from live bandmates vocalist Rachel Orimo, guitarist Stephen Oriolo, drummer Steve Kerwin, and friend Gary Olson—founder of The Ladybug Transistor—on trumpet.
As a preview, Molina has shared three songs from the record, FC '23, Faded Holiday, and Violets Of Dawn, all of which lean into dreamy, psych-pop territory.
Molina will play East Coast shows in Washington D.C., Richmond, Philadelphia and New York City between October 16 and 19 with Jeanines and Lightheaded. Head here for details. Tickets are on sale now.
