The Cure have announced a physical release of their upcoming concert film, The Show Of A Lost World.
Filmed at the post-punk legends' 2024 show at London's Troxy celebrating their latest album, and first in 16 years, 'Songs Of A Lost World', the film was directed by the band's long-time collaborator, Grammy nominee Nick Wickham. It features the only full live performance of the new album, and a 45th anniversary tribute to 'Seventeen Seconds'.
In addition to its worldwide cinematic release on December 11, the film will be available on DVD and Blu-ray from December 13. A digital edition is also planned for December, with details coming soon.
The Cure put out the live album 'Songs Of A Live World: Troxy London MMXXIV' last December, following the release of 'Songs Of A Lost World' that November. In June of this year, they shared a remix collection, 'Mixes Of A Lost World', featuring contributions from Chino Moreno, Four Tet, Mogwai, Orbital, and more.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers will headline UK and European festivals next summer, as well as a series of outdoor shows. Tickets are on sale now.
