Seafret have announced their fourth studio album.
The Yorkshire alt-folk duo, Jack Sedman and Harry Draper, will release 'Fear Of Emotion' through Nettwerk on March 27, following up 2023's 'Wonderland'.
Written and recorded throughout 2025 and produced by long-time collaborators Steve Robson and Sam Miller, the record sees Sedman and Draper returning to their roots while experimenting with new sounds. The pair explained:
"The songs on 'Fear of Emotion' grew out of everything we've lived through these past few years - the bright, beautiful moments and the shadows that came with them.
"We didn't want a single track that didn't feel honest or rooted in something real, and we think we've captured that. Making this record has been a joy from start to finish. The collaborations have added a magic we couldn't have created alone."
Alongside the announcement, the duo have shared an uplifting new song, Signal Fire, a heartfelt blend of indie-pop and folk-leaning styles that was, as the pair explained, "written as a reminder that help exists and you never have to face the darkness on your own. The story in the verses centres on a relationship, but we wanted the chorus to be more universal and reach beyond that."
The album will also include the band's 2025 singles; Cloud, Wasted On You, Love In Reverse, Five More Seconds featuring KT Tunstall, Wait, and opener River Of Tears. Along with their collaboration with Tunstall, BRIT Award-winner James Morrison features on the song Driftwood, and Scottish musician Katie Gregson-MacLeod appears on Nobody Sees Us.
