A week ahead of the release of their fourth studio album, Kid Kapichi have shared the new single Worst Kept Secret.
Built on a swaggering bass line and propulsive drums, the intense track offers another glimpse into 'Fearless Nature', due out on January 16 via Spinefarm. Frontman Jack Wilson said:
"Worst Kept Secret was the final song written for the album, during a period of time where everything felt like it was clicking and coming together. We’d be listening to a bit of Richard Ashcroft and Unkle and this song came shortly afterwards.
"The lyrics speak for themselves. It’s about being in that nether zone of are we friends, or more? Both knowing it’s more, but neither able to fully commit or ask those questions."
The Hastings duo previously teased the follow-up to 2024's 'There Goes the Neighborhood' with the earlier singles Rabbit Hole, Shoe Size and Stainless Steel.
