Iceage have laid out plans for their long-awaited sixth studio album.

The Danish punk-rock band will release ’For Love Of Grace & The Hereafter’ through Mexican Summer on May 29, following up 2021’s ’Seek Shelter’ and 2022’s ’Shake The Feeling: Outtake & Rarities 2015-2021’.

Recorded and produced with Nis Bysted at Sweden’s Silence Studios, where the band tracked their 2014 LP ’Plowing Into the Field of Love’, the five-piece returned to the same studio in a bid to capture the same energy. Vocalist Elias Rønnenfelt explained:

"The songs needed to be immediate, urgent, raw, and fast. We wanted to try to shed any unnecessary weight. Catching outlets of energy is what excites us the most."

The 12-track record will include last month’s single Star, which marked the band’s first new music in five years, and the newly shared opener Ember, which serves up a driving indie-rock sound.

Iceage only have one live show in the diary at the moment, an appearance at Syd For Solen festival in Copenhagen, Denmark on August 14.

’For Love Of Grace & The Hereafter’ tracklist:

1. Ember
2. Match Head Girl
3. The Weak
4. No Fear
5. Salve for Every Sore
6. mother-of-pearl
7. Tender Blades
8. 1835
9. Star
10. Lifetime
11. Holy Water
12. True Blue
