The Enemy will commemorate 20 years of their debut album with a homecoming show in Coventry in 2027.
The indie giants will celebrate the UK chart-topping 'We’ll Live And Die In These Towns' with a performance at the 10,000-capacity Coventry Building Society Arena on March 20, marking their biggest show since their sold-out concert at the same venue in 2008.
Fresh from headlining the Coventry City Football Club's WE ARE BACK: LIVE promotion party at the city's Memorial Park yesterday (May 4), frontman Tom Clarke said:
"We’re all incredibly excited to return to Coventry Arena in March. Last time we headlined that space it was a great night, but this time with the added buzz around Coventry City FC we expect the atmosphere will be even more emotionally charged. It has all the ingredients for an unforgettable, once in lifetime event.”
Entering the UK album charts at number one upon its release in 2007, the album includes the hit title track, as well as the singles Had Enough, Away From Here, and You're Not Alone.
Having split up in 2016 and later reforming in 2022, The Enemy put out their latest album, 'Social Disguises', in February, their first full-length release since 2015's 'It's Automatic'. Since getting back together, they've also stayed busy with a sold-out headline UK tour, festival appearances and a major tour with The Subways and The Holloways in 2024.
Prior to the new shows, the trio will perform at the Coventry's HMV Empire this Friday (May 8) to celebrate 'Social Disguises', followed by several festival dates this summer, including Tramlines, Y Not? and Victorious.
They're also set to support Ocean Colour Scene on the Birmingham Britpop legends' Moseley Shoals 30th Anniversary UK Tour in the winter.
Tickets for their new Coventry Building Society Arena show go on general sale at 10am on Friday (May 8). All other dates are on sale now.
