The Enemy have announced their first studio album in a decade.
The Coventry indie giants will unveil 'Social Disguises' on February 20, their first full-length release since 2015's 'It's Automatic'. The record's lead single, Not Going Your Way, is set to arrive next Friday (October 31). Commenting on the process behind their fifth LP, frontman Tom Clarke said:
"We tried to make this album in the same frame of mind that we made our first, as though we were making the follow-up to it.
"It took a year to write, around 90 demos, and another year in the studio. I’m very proud of it. We all are. Whatever success it does or doesn’t enjoy I feel like we all succeeded in making a great record we can be proud of forever."
Since reforming in 2022, The Enemy have kept up the momentum with a sold-out UK reunion tour, major festival sets, and last year's successful Indie Til I Die Tour alongside The Subways and The Holloways.
They're currently amid an autumn UK tour, which continues with a performance in Liverpool tomorrow (October 25). The run will wrap up with two shows at HMV Empire in their hometown next month. They'll also support Ocean Colour Scene on the Birmingham Britpop legends' 'Moseley Shoals' 30th Anniversary UK Tour in winter 2026. Tickets are on sale now.
