Kim Petras has shared a new single called Jeep.
Written with Nick Weiss, Aaron Maine and Eric Cross, the acoustic pop track is about the repeated cycle of wanting to be with someone who doesn't truly understand you.
Co-produced by New York's PORCHES, aka songwriter Aaron Maine (pictured), Nightfeelings and Cross, with additional production by Margo XS, it marks a notable shift in tempo from the Grammy-winning German singer's clubby previous single Need For Speed and arrives with a video directed by Leonie Miller-Aichholz, shot just outside Paris in the French countryside.
Released via Petras' independent label BunHead Records, Jeep is the latest preview of Petras' upcoming album 'Detour', a release date for which is still to be confirmed, though it's rumoured to be dropping this month. A tracklist also remains under wraps, but its expected to feature her earlier singles Need For Speed, Polo, Freak It and I Like Ur Look.
In February, Petas put out the 'Pretour' EP exclusively via YouTube and SoundCloud after criticising her label, Republic Records, in a series of social media posts.
