A new festive event will take place in Manchester this winter.
Blending world-class performance with the spirit of the season, Christmas Musical Spectacular will take place at the AO Arena on December 22 and 23.
Hosted by Welsh vocalist Aled Jones and starring Olivier Award-winning and Grammy-nominated singer and actor Michael Ball, the two-night production reimagines the festive live experience with singalong moments and laughter, combining some of the most popular musical theatre anthems and Christmas songs, with music by the Manchester Camerata and the Manchester Vocal Ensemble.
The cast also includes Loren Allred, the voice behind Never Enough from The Greatest Showman, Tony Award nominee Keala Settle, Ben Forster, known for playing the Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera, West End and Broadway legend Kerry Ellis, as well as Alice Fearn, Hugh Maynard and Kelly Mathieson.
Tickets go on general sale at 10am next Friday (May 15).
In related news, Michael Ball will tour the UK later this year in support of 'Glow', his 23rd solo album and first of original, self-written material, due out on May 22. Tickets are on sale now.
