Charli XCX has released a new rock-leaning single aptly titled Rock Music.
Pairing distorted guitars and electronic production while maintaining her signature experimental pop sound, the track arrives with an Aidan Zamiri-directed black-and-white video that sees her joined by collaborators A.G. Cook, Finn Keane and her husband, The 1975's George Daniel, as her rock band.
The singer's last studio album was 2024's 'Brat', which was followed by the deluxe version 'Brat And It's the Same But There's Three More Songs So It's Not' and later a star-studded remix edition, 'Brat And It’s Completely Different But Also Still Brat'.
Since then, she has focused on the film world, releasing a companion album for Wuthering Heights in February, and producing and starring in her mockumentary The Moment, which came out in January.
Charli XCX will headline a number of festivals this summer, including Chicago's Lollapalooza and the UK's Reading and Leeds. Tickets are on sale now.
