The Avalanches have returned with a new single, Together.
Serving up bouncy, glitchy electronic melodies created in collaboration with Nikki Nair, Jessy Lanza and Prentiss, the track marks the first new music from the Australian trio since their 2020 third album, 'We Will Always Love You'. There's no news on a follow-up yet, but the group are directing people to takumiarchives.com, a retro-style website that allows visitors to sign up by email for updates.
Since releasing their latest album, Robbie Chater, Tony Di Blasi and Andy Szekeres reissued their debut studio record, 'Since I Left You', in 2021 as an expanded, deluxe edition to celebrate its 20th anniversary. They also appeared on Jamie xx's 2024 single All You Children.
The Avalanches will appear at All Together Now in Ireland and Lost Village Festival in Lincolnshire this summer, following a show in Mexico City on July 19.
