Nothing But Thieves have returned with a new single.
Released via RCA/Sony Music, Evolution marks the beginning of a new era for the Southend-on-Sea indie-rock quintet, as they return to the raw, guitar-driven sound that helped them break through 10 years ago. They said:
"It's a song that's not too concerned about finality. I think imperfection and authenticity is becoming ever more valuable and it's definitely something we're drawn to.
"We've spent some time trying to work out what's real and tangible about who we are and how we use our time. The people we travel the world with, the human moments on stage, the connection we make with those who come to our shows. That's real.
"It's a bit of a love letter to the people in our world in that way."
Nothing But Thieves scored their debut number one album on the UK Official Albums Chart with 'Dead Club City' in 2023, which was followed by a deluxe edition in 2024.
Since then, they've been touring behind the record, with more UK and European dates lined up for this spring and summer, including a set at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend this Saturday (May 23) and shows supporting Biffy Clyro at London's Finsbury Park and Edinburgh's Royal Highland Showgrounds in July and August, respectively.
