Tom Morello and Serj Tankian have joined forces for a new single, Adjourn It.
Built around Morello's signature effects-heavy guitar work and the System Of A Down frontman's intense vocal delivery, the punchy and politically-charged track also features Morello's 15-year-old son Roman. It serves as a rallying cry against rising fascism, as well as the first taster of the Rage Against The Machine guitarist's forthcoming solo album. He said:
"At this historical juncture every act of art is an act of resistance and Adjourn It, a collaboration with long time friend Serj Tankian and my 15 year old guitar wiz son Roman Morello, is a clarion call for justice in unjust times
"Produced by Zakk Cervini, this latest tune from my upcoming solo album combines multi-generational Morello bulldozer riffs with the great Serj Tankian's prophetic wailings. Inspired by the persecution of immigrants across the land and the heroic resistance to the rising tide of fascism it’s just about damn time to rock for freedom, justice and equality."
Late last month, Morello revealed the all-star line-up for his new Power To The People event in Columbia, Maryland on October 3. The all-dayer at the Merriweather Post Pavilion will host performances from Foo Fighters, Dave Matthews, Joan Baez, Jack Black, Dropkick Murphys, Cypress Hill and Killer Mike, as well as Morello himself. There will also be an appearance by special guest Bruce Springsteen. Head here for details.
Morello will headline an intimate show at London's Electric Brixton on June 15 as part of his 2026 tour, which includes a set the day before at Download Festival in the UK. He also has several other festival appearances scheduled across the US and Europe.
His most recent solo albums are 2021's 'The Atlast Underground Fire' and 'The Atlas Underground Flood'. Most recently, he has featured on tracks by metal heavyweights Beartooth and Babymetal.
