Star-Studded Line-Up Revealed For Bob Harris Celebration At London's Royal Albert Hall

An all-star line-up has been revealed for Stand By Me: Bob Harris - A Celebration of Life In Music, a one-night-only London concert this winter.

Taking place at the iconic Royal Albert Hall on December 2, the special show will honour broadcasting legend Bob Harris with a roster of artists spanning rock, folk, country and pop. Performers include Roger Daltrey, Paul Weller, Robert Plant with Saving Grace and Suzi Dian, Rick Wakeman, Carly Pearce, Chris Difford, Beth Nielsen Chapman, Judie Tzuke, Kate Rusby, The Shires, Kezia Gill and Toby Lee.

Many of the announced artists have worked with or been championed by Harris, affectionately known as "Whispering Bob", throughout his decades-long career, with more guests for the line-up still to be revealed. Harris said:

"I've been blessed and honoured to have been there with all these artists right at the beginning of their careers, so we all have long working relationships and deep friendships. I truly love the Royal Albert Hall too. I first began attending concerts there in 1968, and it is, to me, the most beautiful and prestigious venue in Britain. So I feel so honoured to have these wonderful artists with me onstage at my favourite venue. Bringing this music together for 'Stand By Me' is the realisation of a dream."

The night will also feature broadcasting special guests sharing memories of Harris, as well as archive footage from his career, with Harris watching from the audience.

Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday (August 7).
