Fontaines D.C. have announced a major outdoor show in Ireland for next summer.
The Grammy-nominated and BRIT Award-winning Dublin band, who headlined Reading and Leeds Festival in the UK and Electric Picnic in Ireland over the weekend, will headline Slane Castle within the Boyne Valley of County Meath on June 26, joined by special guests Hayley Williams, Damien Dempsey, Madra Salach, with more names to be confirmed.
The announcement also follows news of the band's UK and European arena tour this autumn, their biggest headline outing to date. The tour will head across the continent beginning mid-October before continuing with UK shows from November 20 to 27 at Liverpool's M&S Bank Arena, Manchester's AO Arena, Glasgow's OVO Hydro, Leeds' First Direct Arena, Birmingham's Utilita Arena and London's O2 Arena. Support throughout the run will come from Belfast band Chalk.
Tickets for their Slane Castle summer date, as well as their autumn UK and European shows, go on general sale at 10am BST/11am CEST on Thursday (September 3).
Fontaines D.C. will head to the US this month for further festival appearances, including Shaky Knees in Atlanta, Sea.Hear.Now in Asbury Park, New Jersey, and Ohana Festival in Dana Point, California, alongside shows in Brooklyn and Los Angeles.
The band will release their fifth album, 'Dopamine Chamber', via XL Recordings on October 16. The tracklist has yet to be revealed, but it'll feature the recently shared first single, Marianne.
