Australian rockers Powderfinger, one of the few bands to have made it over to the more lucrative UK and US markets, have announced a UK tour later this year in April.
Formed in 1989 in Brisbane, Powderfinger’s epic rock sound has been likened to that produced from the early years of INXS. The group have been awarded the prestigious ARIA (Australian Recording Industry Association) Award a massive fourteen times and it probably comes at no surprise to tell you that their music is both commerically succesful and critically acclaimed.
A much loved rock outfit who have been together over 18 years, the five piece group will venture across the UK in April to support the release of their latest offering, new album ‘Golden Rule’, which was released November last year.
Powderfinger guitarist Darren Middleton spoke out about the new record, "It's good and we have a new record now. It's a really fresh sound and you need that to be able to keep enjoying it all."
