Johnny Depp To Direct Keith Richards Movie

The Hollywood megastar Johnny Depp has revealed that he is working on a new documentary about the man who inspired Captain Jack Sparrow, Rolling Stones star Keith Richards.

Keith Richards’ boyhood fantasy was to somehow combine being a cowboy with playing the guitar. Now regarded as one of rock’s ultimate outlaws it would appear that the The Rolling Stones founder has achived his wish with some style.

After a fateful meeting with Mick Jagger at a train station, the two went on to form an unshakeable songwriting partnership. Under the pair’s leadership The Rolling Stones became one of the biggest bands in the world.

As the fame of the Stones increased, so did Richards’ notoriety. Famous for not only his guitar playing and songwriting, the star was one of the biggest drug users on the planet, the stories about the guitarist’s abuse of chemicals have reached epic proportions. A full body blood transplant, ‘dying’ in the company of journalist Nick Kent and a general inability to remember anything from the 1970s are all accusations towards the guitarist.

Now Johnny Depp has revealed that he has started work on a documentary based on the famous Rolling Stones star. Having been friends with the rocker for some time now Depp has openly admitted to basing his character in ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean’ on the guitarist.
The actor revealed his plans about the documentary while speaking to a Serbian website. “Already next week I’ll start working on a Keith Richards documentary. While I’m in Drvengrad, my editor is already working on kilometers of archive footage of his concerts. I’m very touched that Keith agreed to show up in front of my cameras.”

Even though The Rolling Stones have been silent since their 2005 tour ‘A Bigger Bang’, the guitarist is still active. Recent rumours circulated that the band were to tour this summer and headline the Glastonbury festival. However such rumours were denied by the group last year.
