Cypress Hill Schedule Two Summer UK Shows & Tickets

American hip-hop superstars Cypress Hill have announced two small shows at Brixton and Glasgow Academy for June this year.
Critically acclaimed for their first two albums, the rap stars became the first latino group to have both platinum and multi-platinum albums, selling over 18 million albums worldwide.
With a view to releasing their eighth studio album later this month and an already confirmed support slot on the Reading and Leeds Festival’s Main Stage in August, Cypress Hill are most definitely back after a lengthy six-year break. However, the hiatus has not been quite for the group who have been using the time away from the studio to release a compilation album ‘Greatest Hits From The Bong’ and to tour as part of the annual hip-hop festival ‘Rock The Bells’.
Having recently worked with former Guns N Roses man Slash on the guitarist’s long anticipated solo album, the trio are now putting final touches to their new album which is set to feature contributions from a variety of artists including Slash and Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello.
The album is the first record to be released by Cypress Hill’s new label Priority Records/EMI Entertainment that is chaired by Hip-Hop icon Snoop Dogg. The group split from their previous label Sony Music last year and signed up for The Doggfather in January 2010.
Cypress Hill will play the following UK dates:
June 2010
15th O2 Academy, Brixton, London
16th O2 Academy, Glasgow
