After a much too-long break, plus a return to their most remembered line-up with the unmatched sound of Skye, Trip-Hop legends Morcheeba are back and bringing their acclaimed live show to Camden's Roundhouse this October!
Known for their super-chilled electronic sound on record this brothers-led group have honed a pure live sound, surprising fans of the albums with the guitar driven intensity and stage presence of the live performances and leading to comparisons of 60's San Francisco Jazz Clubs!
The sublime architects responsible for one of the truly seminal albums of the 90's return with a new album more than matching their original chill-out brilliance.
Talking about the sometimes tumultuous journey taken to produce this fantastic new album 'Blood Like Lemonade', band leader and DJ Paul Godfrey says: "This is the record we should have made after 'Big Calm' but we had to travel treacherous terrains to get back to our natural habitat."
Followers of the band's last decade may understand his sentiments here, but all you really need to know is the super-sultry Skye is back on lead vocals along with Paul on the decks and his Brother Ross on guitar and, as should be expected, the results are truly splendid; As the band know themselves only too well,
'Rome wasn't built in a day', sometimes we need to just 'Slow Down', 'It's all part of the process', and with this philosophy they have created a perfect SEVENTH(!) studio album, echoing the pioneering excellence of 98's 'Big Calm' with a stroke of modern-day production craftmanship that translates seemlessly to the live environment with these accomplished musicians.
Joining them at the Roundhouse will be a selection of fine musical talents and special guests in one of London's most historic, prestigious and down-right cool independent venues; attendance is not compulsory but highly reccommended to any lover of decent music!
