Daphni, otherwise known as Dan Snaith, is composer, musician, and recording artist from Canada.
Originally recording under the moniker Manitoba, Snaith was threatened by a lawsuit by Richard "Handsome Dick" Manitoba, formerly of punk band The Dictators, to change it. He then became Caribou, his previous full-length albums being re-released under the new name, and becoming very successful Daphni is Snaith's current project, and has released numerous singles and EPs under this name since 2011. The first album as Daphni was 2012's 'Jiaolong', which was longlisted for the 2013 Polaris Music Prize. We've waited until this year to have new music from him, in the form of 'fabriclive.93' and 'Joli Mai'. Daphni has announced two London dates for October 2017.
