The Jacksons, previously known as The Jackson 5, is a RnB pop band from Gary, Indiana, consisting of Jackie Jackson, Tito Jackson, Jermaine Jackson and Marlon Jackson. The group also featured in the past Michael Jackson and Randy Jackson.
Formed in 1964, released their debut single, I Want You Back, in 1969, which hit #1 in the Billboard Hot 100 Chart, and was followed by three more consecutive top hit; ABC, The Love You Save and I'll Be There. The group released ten albums under Motown, including their debut, ‘Diana Ross Presents The Jackson 5’ in 1969, ‘ABC’ in 1970, ‘Jackson 5 Christmas Album’ in 1970. They later moved to Epic where they released a further eight albums until their split in 1989.
The band have reformed several times over the years, including a reunion tour following the death of Michael Jackson in 2009. In September 2015 The Jacksons returned to the UK for a massive show in Hyde Park as part of their 50th anniversary celebrations.
In 2017, The Jacksons played Nocturne Live at Blenheim Palace in June, with support from Kool and the Gang, Cardiff's Motorpoint Arena, Scarborough Open Air Theatre, Newmarket Racecourse and Haydock Racecourse, as part of Jockey Club Live, a London concert as part of Greenwich Music Time, AND headlined Livewire Festival!
