Henry Normal—real name Peter Carroll—is a writer, poet, television and film producer from Nottingham, England.

He began his career as a performance poet, before becoming a television writer and producer, well known for co-founding Baby Cow Productions with Steve Coogan in 1999. He contributed to a string of acclaimed British comedy programmes and films, including The Royle Family, Gavin & Stacey, The Mighty Boosh and the Oscar-nominated film Philomena.

After retiring from television production in April 2016, Normal has focused on poetry, radio work and live performance, and was honoured with a special BAFTA Award for services to television in 2017.
