Rob Bell is an author and speaker from Grandville, Michigan.
A former pastor, he founded Mars Hill Bible Church which, under his leadership, became one of the fastest-growing churches in the whole of America and earned him a spot on Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People in the World in 2011. In 2012, he resigned from the church to start a spiritual talk show, after his book, Love Wins. had caused controversy within the evangelical church due to its teachings that much of the Gospel is metaphorical, including the existence of Hell as a physical place. Now a bestselling author of 11 books including Drops Like Stars and Everything Is Spiritual, he also hosts The RobCast podcast and toured with Oprah, with a documentary about his life called The Heretic released in 2018.
