The Scotland national football team represents Scotland in international football and is controlled by the Scottish Football Association.

Scotland is the joint oldest national football team in the world, alongside England, whom they played in the world's first international football match in 1872. Since then, they maintain a fierce rivalry with England, who they have met only eight times, most recently in a group match during the UEFA European Championship finals in June 2021.

Scotland have made it to the FIFA World Cup finals on eight occasions, and the UEFA European Championship finals three times, though they have never progressed further than the first group stage of the tournaments. Their fans are collectively known as the Tartan Army.
