One of the most prominent figures in pop art, he is famed for creating some of the most iconic album covers of all time, he is the brains behind the artwork for The Who's 'Face Dances' and 'WHO', Band Aid's Do They Know It's Christmas, the Live Aid concert poster, Paul Weller's 'Stanley Road' and Oasis' 'Stop The Clocks', among many, many others. Perhaps his most famous work, however, is the sleeve for The Beatles' 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band', which he co-created with his ex-wife. Sir Peter Blake will celebrate his 90th birthday with a very special concert at London's Royal Festival Hall on December 2, 2022, with the likes of Madness, Noel Gallagher, Paul Weller, Roger Daltrey, Chrissie Hynde and Baxter Dury performing.
