Tay Iwar is an Afro-fusion R&B singer, multi-instrumentalist and producer from Abuja, Nigeria.
He began experimenting with studio software as a teenager, forming a group with his brothers named The Bantu Collective and going on to become a sound engineer by the age of 16. He released his debut album 'Passport' in 2014, which he followed with a further three full-length records including, most recently, 'Gold' in 2019. He has also collaborated with some of the biggest names in African contemporary music, including Wizkid, Santi, Preye and Odunsi The Engine. Tay Iwar will play a handful of UK shows in October 2023.
