The Great Escape is a music festival that annually takes place in Brighton every May.
Founded in 2006, the festival sees roughly over 400 acts play each year across 35 venues. There is also a music convention, where speakers have included Michael Eavis, DJ Shadow, and Paul Epworth. In 2020, it was confirmed that the first Road To The Great Escape—a two day sister event—would take place in Dublin and Glasgow, showcasing some of the finest up and coming talent, which has since included the likes of Baby Queen, Amble, Calum Bowie, Overpass, Nell Mescal, Big Sleep and English Teacher. The Road To The Great Escape will return to Dublin and Glasgow in May 2025. The line-up varies by date, but includes Annie DiRusso, Bottle Rockets, Cliffords, Allie Sherlock, Chloe Slater, Curtisy, Yoko Gold and more.
