Tony Mortimer is an English singer, rapper, and songwriter, from London, best know as a member of the 1990s boy band East 17, and wrote the band’s only number one single, Stay Another Day’.
The band had seven UK Top 10 singles and released four albums between 1992 and 1997, before they disbanded. Mortimer worked as a record producer from his studio in Essex, as well as managing bands, including the girl group Urban Angel. In 2010, East 17 reformed as a three piece, without former member Brian Harvey. They released the album, ‘Dark Light’, in 2012. He released his debut solo album, ‘Songs From The Suitcase’ in 2013.
