A Grave With No Name Tickets, Tour Dates & Concerts 2024/2025 ♫Last Updated: 12 Jan 2018 10:28am
A Grave with No Name, formerly a solo bedroom pop project by Alex Shields, is now fleshed out by a three-piece lo-fi, 90s art-rock alt-indie aesthetic.
The project, named after an in-joke about the metalcore group As I Lay Dying, began in 2006. His debut, 2009's 'Mountain Debris' was half recorded in a church in East London, and recalls the hazy sound of My Bloody Valentine, Guided By Voices, and the Microphones. Their second album, 2011's 'Lower', release on two cassettes, became more atmospheric than before, and their third release, 'Whirlpool', in 2013, was a collaboration with members from Echo Lake, Comanechi, and Ides. They had two more albums: 'Poltergeist', which featured free downloads of tape loops and drum machine sounds, then 'Feathers Wet, Under The Moon' in 2015. The band's latest material comes in as a result of Shields becoming obsessed with masks: shaping his song-writing to lean towards our perception of the world, and how the world perceives us. A Grave With No Name will play two shows in London and Cambridge UK in January. Catch them live by checking out the tour dates and concert ticket information below on Stereoboard.
