Anastacia, full name Anastacia Newkirk, is an American singer-songwriter from Chicago, Illinois.
Starting her music career in 1990, she released her debut album, ‘ Not That Kind’, in 2000, which hit #2 in the UK Albums Chart, and featured the track, ‘I'm Outta Love’. ‘Freak of Nature’ followed in 2001, and also hit the top five in the chart, while her third self-titled album was the first to hit the top spot in the UK. ‘Heavy Rotation’ was released in 2008, ‘It's a Man's World’ in 2012, and ‘Resurrection’ in 2014. In 2015 she released the compilation album, 'Ultimate Collection', which contained a new song, Take This Chance. Anastasia headed to the UK for The Ultimate Collection shows in summer 2017, and is now set to tour Europe in spring 2018.
