Andy Mineo, formerly known as C-Lite, is a hip hop recording artist from Syracuse, NY.
After a troubled start in life, struggling with behavioural issues and aggression, Mineo was changed after attending a Christian camp at the age of just 13, with some pretty unforgettable prayer experience. On his return however, he fell out of love with God, and began to focus on music, instead creating a business out of his mother's basement selling studio space for $25 per hour. He was making money and local recognition, and even formed his own rap group who played shows around the community.
While at college, he became even more well known, and played loads of opening sets for acts who came to the SU. After graduating, he was armed with a new purpose and moved back towards God and spiritualism, sharing the gospel in some of the most poverty-stricken and drug-infested neighborhoods in the U.S.
He went on to release a debut EP 'Sin is Wack Vol. 1' in 2009, and after a string of more mixtapes, dropped his first full length, 'Formerly Known' in 2011, followed by 'Heroes For Sale' in 2013 and 'Uncomfortable' in 2015. His most recent release was the 2017 collaboration with Wordsplayed, known as 'Magic and Bird'.
Mineo is set to head to the UK in June for a cluster of headline shows. Catch him live by checking out the tour dates and concert ticket information below on Stereoboard.
