Black Violin is an American classical hip hop crossover duo from Florida, consisting of Kev Marcus and Wil B, real names Kevin Sylvester and Wilner Baptiste.
Formed in 2004, they released their self-titled debut album, in 2008, followed by ‘Classically Trained’, in 2012, and ‘Stereotypes’ in 2015. The duo gained greater prominence when the performed with Alicia Keys at the 2004 Billboard Awards,and have worked with the likes of Wu-Tang Clan, and Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park.
