Cass McCombs is an American psychedelic folk rock from Concord, California.
Starting his music career in the 1990s, playing in various bands in the Bay Area and Pacific Northwest, he released his debut solo album, ‘A ‘, in 2003, followed by ‘PREfection’ in 2005, ‘Dropping the Writ’ in 2007, and ‘Catacombs’ in 2009.
‘Wit's End’ came out in 2011, with ‘Humor Risk’ in 2011, ‘Big Wheel and Others’ in 2013, and ‘A Folk Set Apart’ in 2015. He released his latest album, ‘Mangy Love’, in August 2016 via ANTI- Records.
He has headlined their own shows and tours across the USA and UK and has supported Modest Mouse, Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti, John Cale, Cat Power, Band of Horses, Andrew Bird, The Decemberists, Arcade Fire, Peter Bjorn and John, The Shins, Iron and Wine, Deerhoof and The Walkmen, as well as having played festivals such as Primavera Sound and Field Day.
