Aerosmith's Joe Perry Involved In Motorcycle Smash

Despite the launch of their new ‘Cocked, Locked, Ready to Rock Tour’, its turning out to be a difficult year for Aerosmith following more bad news that guitar legend Joe Perry was hospitalized on Thursday 15th July after a motorcycle smash on the band’s home turf of Massachusetts.

With the accident throwing Aerosmith’s current North American tour into jeopardy, local rag ‘The Boston Globe’ reported that the guitarist was treated at Morton Hospital and Medical Center in Taunton following the incident which is said to have happened in Middleborough around 2pm on Thursday 15th July.

Police has said that the accident took place on Route 44, near an intersection of Route 105 and details are still unconfirmed as to whether Perry was driving or stopped when he was hit from behind by a Sedan.

Having faced difficulties last year with some in-band fighting and an injury as well as a trip back to rehab for frontman Steven Tyler, the series of unfortunate events nearly put the band out of action for good.

However, despite their recent aggro and Joe Perry’s latest scare, Aerosmith are still hitting the road for their 18-date ‘Cocked, Locked, Ready to Rock’ US summer tour which kicks-off on Friday 23rd July in Oakland.

Back in the saddle again!
