Israeli's No.1 Rock Band Monotonix Unveil UK Tour Dates & Tickets

Tel Aviv's Monotonix return to the UK for a headline show at London's CAMP (the city arts and music project) on Tuesday 7th September, along with a series of shows across the UK.

Monotonix are singer Ami Shalev, guitarist Yonatan Gat and drummer Haggai Fershtman, They hail from Tel Aviv, a city not necessarily famous for its rock'n'roll scene.

Monotonix are The People's band. Touring for the majority of the 365 days in a year, they have found their way into some of the most musically undernourished communities the world over, satisfying their eyes and ears (and hunger for sweaty hairy bodies). They return to the UK this November to further the cause, and with a reputation for insane live performances that promise to leave you bruised, yet smiling from ear to ear, they will surely amplify whispers that they may well be the best live band in rock music today!

Ami, Yonatan and Haggai all knew each other and wanted to do something together. When their previous bands started breaking up, it felt like the right time, and Monotonix started playing together in November 2005. Rock'n'roll? It's not really part of the culture over there. Most of the music there draws from Russian, Greek, Arab and Mediterranean folk; contemporary Israeli music is a combination of cheap 80's pop, Mediterranean licks and soft rock.

The band's debut album, 'WHERE WERE YOU WHEN IT HAPPENED' is out now.
