Jay-Z To Release 'Decoded' Book Of Memoirs

Rap superstar Jay-Z has been busy penning his memoirs for his life story, which is set for a release later this year.
The American hip-hop icon is said to be putting the finishing touches to his forthcoming autobiography, entitled ‘Decoded’, which tells Jay-Z’s story from his early projects in Brooklyn through to his rise to world superstardom.
Rising from the streets of New York City, Jay-Z is now known across the world for defining hip-hop more than any other artist of the last ten years. With the hip-hop and rap scene hitting its peak in the 1990’s, Jay-Z emerged in early 2000 with a mission to maintain the genre through the opening years of the new century.
‘Decoded’ is set for release on November 16th and speaking to Rolling Stone, Jay-Z had this to say about how the book came together. “For the book, I was interviewed; people close to me were interviewed, so I was learning a lot of things I didn’t know as a child.”
“It’s not anything I haven’t said in the past, in songs. It’s just more detailed. A song is three minutes long. A book doesn’t have to rhyme, and it has no time limit, so you can say exactly how everything went.”
As well as the intimate insight in the rapper’s life, Jay-Z will also speak of his unique creative rhyming process. Preferring to remember his lyrics rather than actually write them down anywhere, the rapper remembers the rhymes and creates any revisions in his head.
The book, ‘Decoder’, is expected to be released on November 16th and will give fans a far greater insight into Jay-Z’s career that has ever been available before.
