V Festival: Weather Set To Be Mainly Dry

I don’t want to jinx things but if you’re going to V Festival this weekend, it looks as though you won’t need to pack the wellies.

The twin-sited V Festival gets underway in just a few days and with festivalgoers busy stocking up on booze, cleaning down the tent and packing the wet-wipes, it looks as though the weather reports are predicting dry spells for the weekend.

The weekend bash is bringing some fantastic bands to the Stafford and Chelmsford stages this year, headlining Tennessee indie-rockers Kings of Leon will no doubt be previewing some new material from their forthcoming October-due new album. Other acts on the bill include legendary British songwriter Paul Weller, Stereophonics, Editiors, Kasabian, David Guetta Calvin Harris and a load of others.

Latest weather reports show that the forecast looks set to be kind to the canvas community, with latest predictions for the twin-site festival saying that, at worst, there could be some light rain.

The Chelmsford site looks likely to stay dry throughout the weekend with perhaps the odd chance of a few drops of rain. For those who experienced the scorching heat at Glastonbury earlier this year, best check on the amount of sun cream you have left with V Festival temperatures of 25 degrees Celsius predicted for the day and 17 degrees Celsius predicted for the night.

Fans heading to the Stafford site of the festival can expect a slightly cooler few days with dry conditions throughout the weekend too. Temperatures are said to be around 21 degrees Celsius during the day and a much colder 11 degrees Celsius as night.

V Festival kicks-off this weekend from August 20th to August 22nd.
