Tame Impala Reveal Three-Date UK Tour & Tickets

Australia's hottest new export, psychedelic dream-pop foursome Tame Impala, have announced a three-date UK tour for October.

The Perth residents follow a recent sold-out London Cargo show and last weekend's UK festival debut at Reading and Leeds with three shows at Birmingham’s O2 Academy3, Manchester’s Ruby Lounge and London’s Heaven.

New single, ‘Lucidity’, will be released on 13th September through independent label Modular Records, which is home to other big names including Ladyhawke, Cut Copy and many more. The new single is the first track to be lifted from the group’s critically acclaimed - and already Gold-certified in their homeland - debut album ‘Innerspeaker’, which has been described by NME as a “brilliantly confident piece of work”.

Available to purchase as an mp3, the new single ‘Lucidity’ has been labelled as a harmony-laden fuzz rock gem earning Kevin Parker, Dom Simper, Jay Watson and Nick Allbrook comparisons to the greats of Cream and Blue Cheer as well as the new breed of stoner rock Dungen and Comets on Fire.

Mixing dreamy psych rock and riff laden thrills, the band's new single release will also include a remix by French knob-twiddler Pilooski, best known for his re-edit of The Four Season's Beggin.

Tame Impala will play the following UK shows:

October 2010

26th O2 Academy 3, Birmingham
27th Ruby Lounge, Manchester
28th Heaven, London

Tickets are available from 9am on Friday 3rd September.
