No Doubt Working On New Album And Possible World Tour

US rockers No Doubt are currently in the studio working on their seventh album, with plans forming for a world tour in 2011.
Original band members Gwen Stafani, Tony Kanal, Adrian Young and Tom Dumont are in the studio working on what is rumoured to be an 80's one-hit wonders inspired new album. If you have seen the photos and updates on the band's official website or if you have been following the band via Twitter, you will know that No Doubt have already penned nine songs to date and are very excited about the forthcoming release.
The long anticipated new album will be No Doubt's first album since 2001 release 'Rock Steady' and has sparked rumours that the band will tour the new material across the world in 2011. Having played selected dates in the States after reforming last year, UK and European fans still eagerly-await to see the band live.
Speaking to Billboard.com, bassist Tony Kanal had this to say. "I think it'll (a tour) be even bigger and when I say bigger I mean more shows and around the world. I swear, we're having more fun than we've ever had writing a record before. I think its because it's been a while, but also because we're older. The fact that we're still doing it together after 24 years - you know, working on music - I think we really appreciate that."
Reminding the world of their musical legacy, No Doubt will release a greatest hits collection in November 2010. The album will be entitled “No Doubt Icon” and will feature the same track listing as the Singles Collection album including “It's My Life,” “Just A Girl,” and “Hey Baby.”
