Simply Red Extend UK Farewell Tour & Tickets

Simply Red plan to bring down the curtain for the last time this Christmas, with a string of shows planned to take place across the UK and Ireland for the band's Farewell Tour. Due to demand for tickets, the band have announced a second show at Birmingham's National Indoor Arena.

Having already played arena shows in South America, Mick Hucknall and his group will continue their wave goodbye to the live stage with shows across Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Europe before what is undoubtedly going to be an emotional finish in the UK in December.

Announcing the run of Farewell dates, Simply Red's flame-haired frontman Mick Hucknall added, “Welcome to the final year of twenty five mind blowing years. What an adventure it has been!”

Simply Red's classic pop and emotional ballads have drawn fans from across the world with the band playing over 1,100 shows to over a 11 million people throughout their 25 years. In addition to their stunning live show statistics, Simply Red have notched up sales of over 55 million albums worldwide, 31 Top40 UK singles, 3 BRIT Awards, 2 Ivor Novellos, 2 US Number One singles and MOBO Special Achievement gong.
