Lizzo has released her first new song of the year, Don't Make Me Love U.
Produced by long-time collaborator Ricky Reed and Cheche Alara, the pop ballad arrives with an emotional video directed by Tanner K. Williams and shot by Bentley Rawle that shows the four-time Grammy-winning singer facing off with her past self.
Lizzo released her most recent album, 'Special', in 2023. Since then, she's dealt with some legal issues with former employees and dropped a mixtape titled 'My Face Hurts From Smiling' last June, followed by its deluxe edition, 'My Face Still Hurts From Smiling', in September, featuring collaborations with SZA, Lil Jon, Tierra Whack and Doja Cat.
Last year, she also announced her fifth album, 'Love In Real Life', though it's yet to receive a release date.
She'll perform a music set and comedy set at the Netflix Is a Joke Fest at Los Angeles' Greek Theatre on May 7. Tickets are on sale now.
