Squeeze Announce Details of 100 Club Gig

Squeeze have announced that they will be teaming up with Fred Perry Subculture for a gig at the troubled 100 Club on 14th December. The date will follow the London group's current UK tour, which is making its way across the country at the moment. Tickets can be won by entering a competition at the Fred Perry Subculture website.
Squeeze, who were originally formed in 1973 and had hits with 'Cool for Cats' and 'Up the Junction', recently released a compilation album entitled 'Spot The Difference' containing re-worked versions of some of their classic tracks. The band have already sold-out several dates on their current UK tour, which is due to end next month with four shows in the capital.
Fred Perry launched their Subculture nights in 2005 with a performance by Paul Weller at the 100 Club. Management at the London venue recently announced that they may have to close the club by the end of the year due to financial pressures. A website entitled Save The 100 Club has since been setup and the campaign has already received support from people such as Mick Jagger, Liam Gallagher and the Pixies.
