Squeeze are an English power pop band from London, consisting of founding members Glenn Tilbrook, Chris Difford, alongside newer members Simon Hanson, Stephen Large and Lucy Shaw. The original line-up also consisted of Paul Gunn and Jools Holland.
Formed in 1974, the band released their debut self-titled album in 1978, and released four albums, including 1979’s, ‘Cool For Cats’, which contained the singles, Cool For Cats and Up The Junction, that both reached #2 in the UK Singles Chart, before splitting up in 1982.
The band reformed again in 1984, and released another eight albums, before calling it a day again in 1999. They returned again in 2007, with their latest albums, ‘Spot the Difference’ in 2010 and ‘Cradle to the Grave’ in 2015.
Squeeze will perform as part of the Gigs In Scotland series at Kelvingrove Bandstand this May, followed by a headline slot at Cornbury Festival in July and OnBlackheath in September. Catch them live by checking out the tour dates and ticket information below on Stereoboard.
