Squeeze are an English power pop band from London, consisting of founding members Glenn Tilbrook, Chris Difford, alongside newer members Simon Hanson, Stephen Large and Lucy Shaw. The original line-up also consisted of Paul Gunn and Jools Holland.
Formed in 1974, the band released their debut self-titled album in 1978, and released four albums, including 1979’s, ‘Cool For Cats’, which contained the singles, Cool For Cats and Up The Junction, that both reached #2 in the UK Singles Chart, before splitting up in 1982.
The band reformed again in 1984, and released another eight albums, before calling it a day again in 1999. They returned again in 2007, with their latest albums, ‘Spot the Difference’ in 2010 and ‘Cradle to the Grave’ in 2015.
