Kanye West and Jay-Z have unveiled the first song from their upcoming joint album. The pair gave ‘H.A.M’ its world premiere on their Facebook page shortly after midnight yesterday (January 10th).
Produced by Lex Luger, the song is the first to be unveiled from their joint album, ‘Watch The Throne’. The song fuses soprano vocals and a vast string section side-by-side with a forceful hip-hop beat, culminating in a song which is sure to leave an impression with fans.
‘Watch The Throne’ is yet to be given an official release date, but early speculation has suggested that it will be released on March 1st. Kanye West made a merry claim on New Year’s Eve that the album was “coming in one week”, but later hinted that this claim was referring to the unveiling of ‘H.A.M’ as a single.
Meanwhile, it has been revealed that Kanye West wanted his controversial ‘naked’ album cover banned. Visual artist George Condo, who designed the cover for West’s latest release, ‘My Dark Twisted Fantasy’ claims that the rapper approached him with the intention of creating a cover which would be banned and cause controversy.
When the album cover was revealed in October last year, the rapper was quick to claim that it had been banned by a number of major US stores, even jokingly posting on Twitter that he was "deeply sorry if I haven't offended everybody".
