US rockers 3 Doors Down are expecting big things from the band's fifth album, 'Time Of My Life', which is released on April 12th.
Speaking to Billboard.com, 3 Doors Down frontman Brad Arnold said, "I can't tell you how much confidence I have in it. There's a lot of songs on there that I think will appeal to a lot of people. And everybody's on fire; our label's excited about it, we're excited about it and I really think this record has a chance to take us from here up to here."
3 Doors Down, who have had six #1 singles, sold over 12 million copies of their albums, and perform on average at least 300 sold-out live shows a year, will release the 12-song follow-up to their 2008 offering '3 Doors Down' on April 12th. Arnold also adds that the new album reminds him of the group's hugely successful, six-times platinum 2000 debut 'The Better Life'. "It's a bit like our first record, only much more modern and with a lot more confidence," he explains. "We're going into our 11th year of being a signed band, so we've had the experience of being out there. It's a lot more updated."
In addition to the release of the new album, 3 Doors Down are also planning to take the album on tour sometime this year. No dates have been confirmed yet, however, Arnold stated, "at the beginning of April we're going to head over to Europe and tour over there a little bit, just to get our feet under us and get warmed up and then come back to the States and hit it hard this summer."
